'I wandered lonely as a cloud...'
dwelling among the untrodden ways...
changing shadows
with every step i take
i contemplate the meeting at night, and the parting of morn
of the 'quiet-colored end of evening' in my hometown
seeing in my mind's eye:
'The grey sea and the long black land;
And the yellow half-moon large and low;
And the startled little waves that leap
In fiery ringlets from their sleep,
...
Then a mile of warm sea-scented beach;
...'
dreaming of a long-awaited meeting of heartbeats
while doors succeed doors
suns and moons wax and wane
I think of how.. 'I will but say what mere friends say,
Or only a thought stronger;
I will hold your hand but as long as all may,
Or so very little longer! '
'and God smiles as he has always smiled;'
and I smile with him.
